How do you pronounce Retrouvée, and why that name?

It's pronounced ruh-troo-VAY. Retrouvée is the French feminine for "found again" or "rediscovered," which is exactly what we do: we find beautiful vintage pieces that have already lived one life and help them find their next one. The name is also a little love letter to France, where we were inspired to finally take a leap and open this shop.

What does Retrouvée sell?

Retrouvée sells pre-owned vintage and designer handbags, silk scarves, and accessories from luxury houses like Dior, Gucci, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Loewe. Every piece is hand-selected, and we add new finds regularly. Please note we are not associated with any brands listed.

Are your items authentic?

Yes. We authenticate every piece before listing it, including third-party authentication. If an item ever turns out to be inauthentic, you're covered under our return policy.

What's your return policy?

All sales are final, except if an item is found to not be authentic or arrives damaged. In those cases, contact us at hayley@retrouveevintage.com within 10 days of delivery and we'll make it right.

How do you describe condition?

Every listing includes an honest condition note and detailed photos we take ourselves, so you can see exactly what you're getting, including any signs of wear.

Where are you located and do you ship?

Retrouvée is based in Charleston, South Carolina. We ship within the US, and every order is insured and packed with care.

About Our Pieces

Retrouvée sells pre-owned vintage and designer items. Because every piece has had a previous life, items may show signs of wear consistent with age and use. We describe each item's condition honestly and photograph it ourselves, and we encourage you to review the full description and all photos before purchasing. Colors may appear slightly different depending on your screen.

Each piece is one of a kind. Once an item is sold, it's gone, and listing an item does not guarantee its availability.

Authenticity

We authenticate every piece before listing it, including third-party authentication. If an item is ever found to be inauthentic, you're covered under our Shipping & Returns policy.

No Brand Affiliation

Retrouvée is an independent reseller and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of the brands we sell, including Dior, Gucci, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Loewe, or any others. Brand names and trademarks are the property of their respective owners and are used only to accurately describe the items we sell.

Pricing and Orders

All prices are listed in US dollars. Applicable sales tax and shipping costs are calculated at checkout.

We work hard to keep our listings accurate, but mistakes happen. If an item is listed with an obvious error in price, description, or availability, we reserve the right to cancel the order and issue a full refund. We may also cancel orders we suspect are fraudulent.

Payment

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. By placing an order, you confirm that you're authorized to use the payment method provided.

Shipping, Returns, and Refunds

Shipping, returns, and refunds are governed by our Shipping & Returns policy, which is part of these Terms. In short: all sales are final, except for items found to be inauthentic or that arrive with undisclosed damage.
